Regional Ambassadors
What’s a Regional Ambassador?
The Indiana Bellydance Collective has members throughout the state, and in an effort to better support happenings, events, public outreach, and instructors outside the Indy area, we have established a network of Regional Ambassadors. The Ambassadors act as local representatives of INBC. This may include:
- Coordinating an INBC booth/table at a local event (e.g. art or cultural fair),
- Assisting local teachers and dancers in obtaining support from INBC,
- Bringing local concerns to the attention of the INBC Board,
- Hosting an event or hafla,
- Acting as a point of contact for community members who are interested in studying belly dance,
- Spearheading local publicity for INBC events and partnership events.
What can a Regional Ambassador Expect?
As an INBC Ambassador you will receive:
- A listing on this page,
- Booth/table materials including table covering, sign, brochures, etc.,
- Hard copies of flyers, posters, etc. for upcoming INBC events and partnership events,
- Reimbursement of Board-approved expenses such as booth registration fees and printing costs,
- Public relations support in getting the word out about regional dance opportunities, haflas, happenings, etc.
- Opportunity to purchase an INBC professional membership for the price of an individual membership.
Regional Ambassador FAQs
You must be a professional level member to be an ambassador. However, as an ambassador, you can purchase a professional membership for the individual membership price! If you’re currently an individual member when you sign up to be an ambassador, we will automatically upgrade your membership level. If you’re a supporter when you sign up, you can pay the price difference to individual and we will upgrade you to professional.
