Tina Maric started her belly dance training in 2015 under the instruction of Zhenna in her hometown of Muncie, and has studied under more Indiana greats including Donna Carlton and Bette Lucas, and was part of Bette Lucas’ troupe The Caravanserai Dancers. Tina continued her studies in Charleston, South Carolina, as a student of Beena Mokuti and now, while based in Orlando, Florida, Tina is honored to study under Egyptian Dance Master Mr. Ahmed Hussien.

At the beginning of Tina’s dance journey, she was president of Ball State University’s belly dance club during her undergraduate studies, and later started a belly dance club as a graduate student at IU Bloomington, where she earned her M.A. in Hispanic Literatures and Cultural Studies. With the experience of teaching and performing with her club members, Tina later taught weekly belly dance classes while based in Charleston and returned to give workshops in April 2025. Tina is very grateful for the amazing, hardworking, and dedicated students she has had the opportunity to teach, build community, and dance with over the years.

Tina is an award-winning performer in Raks Sharki, Folklore, and Drum Solo with Live Drummer Improvisation from the L.A. Bellydance Competition 2024 in Los Angeles and Sweetheart Bellydance Festival and Competition 2024 in St. Augustine, Florida. She is also a company member of ERA Entertainment, based in Orlando, and was part of the stage show Echoes of Time: A Celebration of Culture and Sound, which the group has performed at venues including Mango’s Tropical Café. Tina is also a regular performer at several Greek and Mediterranean restaurants in Orlando and central Florida.

Tina’s performance style has been described as the “life of the party,” and audiences appreciate her crowd interaction and distinctive way of elevating the atmosphere of the room for a memorable and fun experience.

Check out PR Officer Nisreen’s video interview with Tina on the Articles page here.  It’s a great way to get to know Tina and it’s only 7 minutes long.  A highly recommended watch.

TINA MARIC PHOTO GALLERY

We’re excited to announce that Lacy Clagg, from Lacy Clagg Photography, will be at the Annual Bazaar to provide professional portraits to individuals and troupes.  She will also be taking photos during the show that will be available for purchase following the event.

Lacy has over 20 years experience as a professional photographer in a variety of settings (read her full bio here).  She recently sat down with Vice President Kayla Shea and a couple of other dancers to produce some sample shots for our event.  You can see the whole sumptuous gallery here.

It is recommended that you sign up for a sitting in advance on Lacy’s website, though some spots may be available on a walk-in basis.  Lacy will be offering the choice of two packages:  the “Solo Dancer Portrait Experience” and the “Group/Ensemble Portrait Experience.”  Both options include 6 professionally-edited, high-resolution images on a clean, elegant background.

Because this her first year at our event, Lacy is offering a discounted sitting price of only $60 (regular price is $100).  You will be asked to pay at least half of the sitting fee when you reserve your spot.  Any balance can be paid at thenevent.  Sign up for a sitting time and get all the details on Lacy’s site (https://lacyclaggphotos.com/inbc/).

If you’d like to apply to teach a workshop at the Bazaar, please complete the online application (see important links above). Anyone can apply to be an instructor (though preference may be given to members).  The application deadline has been extended to January 30, 2026.  You will be notified by February 6 whether or not your application was accepted.  Accepted instructors will receive a free all-day pass to the event and announcement on social media.

Special note, if you’d like to teach and perform, you must fill out an application for both (i.e. fill out an instructor application and a performer application)!

If you’d like to apply to perform in the Gala Show as a soloist or as a troupe, please complete the online application (see important links above).  The application deadline has been extended to January 30, 2026.  You will be notified by February 6 whether or not your application was accepted.  Everyone (i.e. each soloist and every member of a troupe) dancing in the show must purchase a workshop or all-day pass (does not apply to instructors, individual members or professional members).  Performers are not required to purchase a separate show ticket in order to perform.  Accepted performers will be announced on social media.

Please limit your performance to 5 minutes.    If you wish to be in more than one act (e.g. performing as a soloist and with a troupe), each act should have its own submission.  If you’re an instructor and you also want to perform in the show, you must complete a separate performer application.

The band Indy Raqs will be set up during the entire show and available to accompany any dancer who is interested in dancing to live music.  If you are interested in this option, please contact us and we will have someone from the band reach out to you.

Swap ‘n Shop

We are pleased to announce the return of the ever-popular Swap ‘n Shop to the Bazaar. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Swap ‘n Shop sales for this event will be CASH ONLY, so you might want to visit the ATM on your way in! (Note: if you must use another form of payment, you can track down the seller and work something out directly with them.)
  • You do not have to pre-register to sell your stuff, but you must be an individual or professional member of INBC.
  • If you are selling stuff, you must download and print the “SwapNShop tags” file here. You will complete a whole row of 3 tags for EACH item you are selling. The first (leftmost) tag is for your records. The other two tags should be safety-pinned to the item (do not separate the two tags – that will happen when the item is sold).
  • Liz Wray did an excellent Swap ‘n Shop tutorial video for a prior Bazaar that will explain the whole process (and put you in a good mood). You can watch the video on YouTube here.
  • If you have any questions, please email inbcisametd@gmail.com.

Vendors

Shopping is always a big part of the Annual Bazaar (and belly dancers love to shop)! Accepted vendors will receive a vendor pass allowing complete access to the event for each person working the booth, and announcement on social media.

If you are interested in vending, please complete the online application (see important links above).  All applications are due by January 31, 2026. Vendors will be notified by February 7 whether or not their application was accepted.  Accepted vendors must return their signed vendor contract and make payment in full by February 14 to reserve their spot(s).  Vending fees are non-refundable (unless paid early and refund requested prior to February 14).

Booth size is 8′ x 8′ and cost is $100 ($50 for Individual and Professional members of INBC) per booth space.  Additionally, Professional members get their first booth space for only $5.  You may request up to 4 spaces with additional spaces granted based on availability.

Volunteers are the backbone of a successful Bazaar.  If you’d like to help out, we’d love to have you!  There are many positions available including:  Swap ‘n Shop clerk, Vendor assistant, set up, tear down, and more!  Volunteers will receive a special thank you gift.

This year we’re using SignUp.com to organize our upcoming volunteer spots.  Here’s how it works in 3 easy steps:

  1. Click this link to see our SignUp on SignUp.com: <link coming in 2026>
  2. Review the options listed and choose the spot(s) you like.
  3. Sign up! It’s Easy – you will NOT need to register an account or keep a password on SignUp.

Note: SignUp does not share your email address with anyone. If you prefer not to use your email address, please contact us and we can sign you up manually.

Venue

We’re excited to bring the Annual Bazaar back to the Wyndham Hotel – Indianapolis Airport!  Located at 2544 Executive Drive on the west side of Indy, this facility provides multiple teaching spaces, room for a large vendor village, and an amazing performance venue!  Just like last year, the Wyndham will be providing a cash bar during the show.  They also offer a very good onsite restaurant called “Flights” and a convenience/snack store.  Check out all they have to offer here

Accommodations

If you are looking to spend the night in Indy before or after the Bazaar, we recommend staying right at the Wyndham!  That way, after an exhausting day of belly dance madness, you can just take the elevator to your room.

  • You can book a room through Wyndham’s site by clicking here.  Even if you’re not rewards member, you can get the “Wyndham Rewards Member Rate” by signing up for their (free) rewards program when you confirm.
  • You may be able to find cheaper rates on discount hotel sites like Kayak.com or Booking.com.  Look for “Wyndham Indianapolis Airport” or “Wyndham Indianapolis West” (they’re the same thing).
  • The hotel is offering our attendees a discounted, refundable rate of $129 on an upgraded “Executive” room (choose one king or 2 queens).  Click here if you want this special deal.

Become a Sponsor

It takes a village to pull off a great event like the Bazaar, and you can play your part by becoming a corporate or individual sponsor.  Corporate sponsors are provided with an excellent avenue to expand awareness of their business and services, and to reach a very specific segment of customers.  Companies already vending at the event can even leverage their sponsorship to increase sales.  Corporate sponsors receive recognition and exposure on multiple platforms depending on the level of sponsorship.  Corporate sponsorship levels.

We also welcome donations from individual members and belly dance supporters.  By becoming an individual sponsor you will contribute to the success of Indiana’s largest single-day belly dance festival.  You will also receive public recognition for your gift (note that you can choose to remain anonymous or dedicate your sponsorship), and may receive free tickets (depending on your individual sponsorship level).  Individual sponsorship levels.

Please contact us with any questions or to make your donation.
